Subject: [vip_students] medication query

Hi all

I am an NCBI volunteer and also a software designer. I have developed a
software technology to aid anyone who has to take medications, it is called
S-PILs. I would like to ask your opinion please? If you could read the short
overview and answer the 4 questions below I would be very grateful.

Overview:

Patient Information Leaflets provided with medications are often disregarded or
the language is too scientific to understand. Smart Patient Information Leaflet
Summarised (S-PILs) is a software solution that combines multiple medications
into a short, relevant, electronic interface. Simply put S-PILs provides an
executive summary of the leaflets provided with medications. S-PILs also
simplifies this summary into everyday language that can be personalised to the
person's needs. S-PILs can be used on devices such as smartphones, tablets, PCs
and laptops.

Questions:

1. Do you think S-PILs would be of benefit? YES,

2. What is the likelihood of you using this technology if it was available
tomorrow? LIKELY,

3. Would you be willing to pay for technology such as S-PILs if you had to take
medication? YES,

4. Are you aware of any other similar technology? If yes please list.

Regards

Marie Travers
