Joe,
I sent a reply to your previous thread here about this topic, on Wednesday
night or so.
If you’ve become familiar enough with the iPhone ecosystem, I think that you
might not be too happy starting over with an Android/Samsung Galaxy, because
it’s another learning curve. If you do go for it, then if possible have someone
knowledgeable set it up optimally for your needs/specifications, not the least
of which will be setting up Talkback. Also have them set phone Time Out (after
which it locks) to an appreciable length of time, so that you won’t have to
restart Talkback or reboot the phone too often to learn how to navigate the
screen, etc. (I would not however be a knowledgeable person on the Android
ecosystem, having had but hours’ experience with it. Most blind users prefer
the ‘pure Android’ phones, for Talkback compatibility.)

ok, so here's the situation, i'm due an update on my four s mobile phone, i'm
with "three" network, i've been advised to go for an android and i do know
that some blind people have problems with it, but other blind people i've
spoken with are happy with it, it's been suggested to me that i go for the
sansom galaxy five, and "three" will let me have it for twenty nine euro,
with a very reasonable monthly tarriff, just wondering what people on this list
feel, i use my mobile a lot, not just for phoning and texting, but for e mails
and radio, and music, would like some opinions on this, god bless, travel
safely, joe.
