hi Nicky, john and all

john, great to hear your thinking of entering the world of the smart phone
*smiles

I have very recently had some experience with android and am a long time iphone
user.
I think, now, which is great, we’ve actually truly reached the point where it’s
really just your preference.
Nicky is right, in that, if you want a phone that just works out of the box,
and very nicely two, then an iphone is most certainly the way to go.
You will be able to do everything you can on an iphone on an android, however,
it will require a few more tweaks, and probably a significant bit ore patience
to learn on your part.
It’s also worth noting, that if you’re coming from a button phone, touch
screens take a good bit of getting used to at first. Why are you looking for a
new phone, is your current phone not working/acting up? I ask this, because if
your current phone is still working, it might very well be an idea to do
something that i’ve told many people to do in the past, and which they have
done, and it’s enabled them to learn significantly easier. What you could do
is, get an ipod touch, and learn IOS, that’s apple’s mobile operating system.
If you still had your current phone, you’d be doing this without any pressure
then. Lots of people I’ve helped have done this and say afterwards when they’ve
made the transition eventually, that doing it this way made things a lot easier
for them. The other option is of course, to buy an iphone while keeping your
current phone until you learn/are confident with the gestures needed to work
with an i device(IPOD/IPAD/Iphone).
Hope this has helped, and any more questions, just write here. There is a
wealth of knowledge here so someone will always help you out

All the best

Kerie
