Susan,

You're looking first for the View tab when in Windows Explorer | Tools | Options. So, open Windows Explorer. Then Shift +tab and then right-arrow to the view tab control. Press the tab key about twice. You will come to a list of options. Now you will arrow up/down through this. See if "show my documents on the desktop" is there. it isn't on mine, but I already have the my documents icon on my desktop showing anyway. If it isn't on yours, well there will be another way.

Susan you could alternatively do the following to restore My Docjuments Folder to the Desktop

1) Open windows explorer via start/programs/accessories/windows explorer
2) choose folder option via tools
3) click view tab
4) in the advanced setting look for 'show my document on the desktop i.e
have it ticked and click OK

Hi Susan,

Check your "Recycle Bin" and see if there is a My Documents shortcut in there. If there is just arrow to it then press the application key and
choose "Restore" by pressing enter key.

Paul.
