Vincent,
We can’t answer that question without you giving more information.
You mention download, and you mention already having opened this pdf before.
How are you trying to download? If using Internet Exdplorer, instead of
pressing ENTER you Save Target As, from the context (or shift-F10) menu. If
using Firefoxc, use Save Link as (as it’s called there) from the context menu.
What program do you open pdf’s with? If Adobe Reader, have you updated it
recently? Do you have OCR software, i.e., Kurzweil 1000, Open Book,
FineReader, OmniPage? (Ifg you do, you could try opening the pdf with it.)
The reason you’re having issues opening the pdf could be, that you have
inadvertently altered security setting(s) in Adobe Reader: or, you updated,
perhaps, to the latest version, which is more security-aware, and which, at
times, causes more inconvenience to the vision-impaired user because of
‘enhqanced security’ being on.
I had occasion to look up such issueswith Adobe Reader recently. Adobe Help
mentions increased security as one of the main benefits of upgrading. Their
proposed solution to problems caused by the later versions not opening pdf’s?
Uninstall, and use the earlier version whicvh worked. (How thick is that?)
