Hi all
I use my phone to save appointments and birthdays and find it very useful.

I wrote the below notes for someone some time back and thought I would post them to the list as they may be of help. I am using the n70 but, I think the calendar on most phones work in the same way.

instructions on how to use
the calendar on the n70.
1. Unlock your phone and press the menu key. Down arrow to office and press the select key. Down arrow until you come to the calendar and press the select key.

2. Press key 1 and down arrow to new entry sub-menu.
3. Press key one twice to select the "meeting" option. > 4. You are now in the "subject" field, here you can type the name of the meeting/reminder.

5. Press the down arrow key. You are now in the "Location" field. You
can type a location in here but, it is not essential.
6. Press the down arrow key. You are now on the "start time" field.
here, you can type in the start time using the 12-hour clock. An example
of a time would be 0900 followed by A or P for A.M or PM.
7. Press the down arrow key. You are now at the "end time field"
follow procedure in number 6.
8. Press the down arrow key. You are now in the "start date" field.
Type in the date you want, by default today's date is written. An example
of the date format would be 06052007.
9. Press the down arrow key. You are now in the "end date" field. You
probably won't need to fill in this field.
10. Press the down arrow key. You are now in the "alarm" field. To turn the alarm on, press the select key and down arrow to "alarm on" and press the select key. The next 2 fields are the alarm time and date. Follow steps 6 and 8 abov to fill in these fields.
11. Press the down arrow key. You are now on the "repeated" field. This
could be a useful feature for you. By default, it is on "not repeated".
If you press the select key and down arrow, you have a number of choices:
not repeated, repeat daily, repeat weekly, repeat fortnightly, repeat
monthly or repeat yearly. If you want to use any of these press the
select key on the option you want.
12. Now you can press key 2 which will save your calendar entry. It
seems a little long-winded but, once you get used to the layout of the
calendar, it is actually very straight forward.
Note: You can also add anniversaries to the calendar by choosing the anniversary from "new entry".

When you want to look at your calendar entries, you can use the right
arrow to cycle through the days or you can use the "go to date option" if
you are looking for something that will take place on a specific date. To
use this:
1. Press key 1
2. Down arrow to go to date and press the select key.
3. type in the date you want and press the select key. This will tell
you the day and if there are any calendar entries for that date.

Joan Ann.
