John,

I am using Jaws 12 in XP SP 3 and I have no problem managing Google search.

To start the search
1. I press enter to activate the edit box.
2. I then press enter to launch the search.
3. After a few moments when I think the search must be complete, I press 1
(for Heading 1) to place me near the results
4. I then press 2 (for Heading 2) to get the Results heading
5. Now I press 3 (for heading 3) to move down the list of results each of
which starts with a link that is set as heading 3

Have you tried using these heading controls?

If you think JAWS is the problem, why not download and install NVDA? It's
free and will work with Google.

All the best,

Cearbhall

Subject: [vip_students] result details buttons in google search inaccessible

Dear List,

Is anyone else having trouble clicking on the Result Details buttons in
Google Search results? Sometimes it'll work for me and sometimes it won't.
And getting it to work ain't easy! It involves moving JAWS cursor to PC,
tethering JAWS cursor to PC, turning off Virtual cursor, and only then
pressing Enter.

Btw, I'm using 32-bit Win7 HP SP1, JAWS13 and IE9. Is my copy of JAWS
corrupt? How do I repair JAWS? Any constructive suggestions appreciated.

Thanks,
John
