thanks john, just done that, and within a minute i got a reply, the maps for the republic of ireland have been updated, as from two weeks ago, and it is possible to download any further maps that will be available in the future, seriously thinking of giving this a whirl, and thanks for everyone's help and interest, take care, god bless, travel safely, joe.
