Call for Papers: First oikos Young
Scholars Organizations Academy 2011
Organizations and Cultural Sustainability
4-9 September 2011, Hotel Kaubad, Switzerland
Abstract submission deadline: April 30, 2011
We are happy to announce the first oikos Young Scholars Organizations Academy 2011. The Academy provides PhD students and early career researchers in the field of Organizational Behaviour and Theory, Strategy, Management and Sustainability an outstanding platform to present and discuss ongoing research projects with fellow students and senior faculty.
Innovative organizational theory and behaviour can speak to understanding and intervening on pressing environmental and social challenges in firms, for economies, and on a global scale. The fates and future of many organizations and wider communities also depends on cultural sustainability. This comprises the sustainability of values, beliefs and practices over time and is embodied in institutional arrangements and cultural capital processes.
We aim at attracting papers fostering relevant developments in organizational theory, research strategies and methods, and social practices with regard to how organizations can leverage existing and new solutions to overcome key sustainability challenges. Commentary will be provided by fellow participants and four established international researchers:
Davide Ravasi, Bocconi University Milano, Italy
Jennifer
Howard-Grenville, University of Oregon, USA
Marc
Ventresca, Oxford University, UK
Tina
Dacin, Queen's School of Business, Canada
