Hallo VÖW Mitglieder und VÖW-Freunde,

zu ihrer/eurer information:

[Aus dem Newsletter h-dritter-sektor:]

GPPi seeks to fill an intern position in its Berlin office, starting
at the beginning of April 2006.

On behalf of the United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP), GPPi
is currently conducting a review of the Global Reporting Initiative
(GRI). The GRI is a multi-stakeholder process and independent
institution whose mission is to develop and disseminate globally
applicable non- financial reporting guidelines. Non-financial
reporting (or 'triple bottom line reporting') has seen tremendous
growth in recent years, greatly supported by programs such as the
GRI. Today, more than 800 organizations in all sectors explicitly
recognize using the GRI Guidelines for reporting on their economic,
environmental, and social performance.

The objective of this project is to analyze the GRI reporting
framework, i.e. its products and services (including technical
protocols, sector supplements, etc.), the GRI institutional
structure and business model, and overall developments in the market
for financial reporting. The final project report is due to be
completed in June 2006.

Required Skills: The candidate must be self-driven and able to work
independently on research assignments. The candidate must have
excellent English skills (written and spoken) as well as outstanding
analytical and research skills. The candidate should have an
academic background in the social sciences. Thorough knowledge of
basic office applications (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and
Powerpoint) and basic statistics (using Excel or any other basic
Statistics package= are a must. Knowledge of German is an asset but
not required.

GPPi offers: A dynamic work environment in the center of Germany's
capital. Flat hierarchies, a young and international team. The
opportunity to gain first-hand experience and develop skills in
policy research and consulting.

The intern will be based in GPPi's Berlin office. Remuneration to be
negotiated based on the qualification of the applicant. The position
is limited to 6 weeks, with a view to extending the internship for
an additional 6 weeks based on successful collaboration.

P.S. G3 im Ranking der Nachhaltigkeitsberichte: Gemeinsam mit Jens Clausen
haben wir den neuen Entwurf für die GRI Leitlinien nach der Rankingmethode
bewertet.
Ergebnis: Improved but still improvable. U.a. fehlen Indikatoren zum
Umweltschutz in der Supply Chain. Download:
