Aufgabengebiet: Wiss. Dienstleistungen in der Forschung im DFG Projekt "The
scalar organization of environmental governance: an institutionalist
perspective on the transformation of water and marine governance in the EU";
Erarbeitung eines Forschungskonzeptes und eines methodisch innovativen
Ansatzes zur vergleichenden Evaluierung des institutionellen Wandels im
Rahmen der Neuorganisation der Governance natürlicher Ressourcen innerhalb
der EU (Meer/ Süßwasser, Fälle: Spanien/Portugal/BRD), Gegenstand können
z.B. Veränderungen der Rolle des Staates, von Akteurskonstellationen und-
verhalten, Problemwahrnehmungen und Governance sein; Implementierung der
Forschung und Verfassung wiss. Publikationen; Mitwirkung bei Aufbau eines
neuen Arbeitsfeldes und Durchführung des übergeordneten Gesamtprojekts in
Zusammenarbeit mit dem Projektleiter und dem Team; Aufgaben zur Vorbereitung

Anforderungen: Abgeschlossenes wiss. Hochschulstudium; sehr gute
Vorkenntnisse institutionentheoretischer Ansätze und sozialwiss.

Work place: Faculty of Agriculture and Horticulture - Department of
Agricultural Economics Temporary Professorship for Environmental Governance
(Prof. Andreas Thiel (Ph.D.))
Tasks:
Research in the DFG (German Research Council) funded project "The scalar
organization of natural resource governance: an institutionalist perspective
on the transformation of water and marine governance in the EU". In
coordination with the overall project the successful candidate is expected
to develop a research concept and a methodologically innovative approach for
the assessment and evaluation of institutional change in the context of the
scalar reorganisation of governance of natural resources with specific focus
on marine and freshwater ecosystems in the European Union, and in selected
Member States (Spain, Portugal, Germany). The research may focus on the
changes in the role of the state, changes in actor constellations and
behaviour, changes in problem perceptions and approaches to solutions. The
successful candidate is expected to carry out the research and produce
scientific results for publication. Support for the overall project and the
establishment of a new research area at the Faculty in close collaboration
with the leader of the project and the overall team. Preparatory works for a
doctoral dissertation.
Requirements
Necessary: Master of Science or equivalent; very good knowledge of
institutional approaches and social scientific qualitative and also
quantitative research methods, enthusiasm for academic research, very good
knowledge of English, experience in scientific work, team spirit.
Desirable: experience with self-organized, effective scientific work,
experience in researching environmental problems from a social scientific
perspective, good command of Spanish / Portuguese or German..
