You need to expose input and output pins supporting the MIDI data ranges (legacy and DMusic).
The output pin will then receive MIDI data formatted as KSMUSICFORMAT events for legacy MIDI. For DMUS MIDI it will receive DMUS_EVENTHEADER type data.
Same for the input pin.
