Solved: the bits per sample value was mangled. Set to 2 as in 2 bits worth
rather than 2 bytes .

Subject: [wdmaudiodev] 'Advanced' tab in Sound properties?
Another oddity. At some point during various firmware refreshes for our
multi-channel USB capture device the Sound applet Advanced tab has
disappeared. The device properties (sample rates etc) are all displayed
correctly in KsStudio. What am I missing?
