[wdmaudiodev] Audio quality

Dear all,
I am developming a usb phone using cypress AN2131QC and a a-Law / u-Law codec.
I wrote the firmware.Now I can playback and record voice.
But when I record then playback my voice I found there is a little background
noise.
I hear about some usb phones also have background noise.
But I know one usb phone can record and playback voice without noise almost.
Could you pls tell me how to make a clean audio ?
