Hi Everybody

I have had problems with the drm hct in the past and needed to run a
debugger while testing. I have found 2 solutions. First was the get the
developer at Microsoft to send me a version of drmtest.exe that would run
with a debugger active. The other way I found was to run Soft-Ice instead of
Win-Bag and turn off int 3. (i3here off) I still got the messages telling me
that I was a bad person for running the test with a debugger active, but the
test ran and I was able to debug by using print outs in the driver.

Subject: [wdmaudiodev] Debugging digital rights management

Hi everyone,

I need to do some debugging of digital rights management, but of course I'm
not allowed to use the debugger. If I do, I get the message

****************************************************************************
******************
This breakpoint is By Design. You are accessing protected content while
running the debugger.
This only occurs in Free builds - either use Checked builds or stop playing
protected content.
Hint: turn off protection of CD copied content in Windows Media Player by
going to {Tools}{Options...},
clicking the CD Audio tab, and unchecking Enable Personal Rights Management.

I dutifully installed the checked build of XP with service pack 1, but I
still get the same message. Is there any way I can allow debugging? I'm
trying to run drmtest.exe from the HCT version 11.2.

Thanks for any help,
Jeff
