Wonderful :-) Thanks, I see the KSPROPERTY_PIN_DATARANGES and KSPROPERTY_CONNECTION_DATAFORMAT messages. I didn't know it's the first in DataRanges was a default so I never looked deep into that. Thank you very much for that information.

Are you watching the entire property exchange?  Are you seeing
KSPROPERTY_PIN_DATARANGES and KSPROPERTY_CONNECTION_DATAFORMAT?

Remember, first the filter reports everything it can possible do, then
the intersection comes it to figure out which of its formats is closest
to what the clients want.  If the client doesn't pick anything, you get
the first "possible" that the filter reported.
