Do you mean KSPROPERTY_AUDIO_DEV_SPECIFIC, which is surfaced to the Sound
control panel and other apps as an IDeviceSpecificProperty?

I believe the name comes from KSPROPERTY_TOPOLOGY_NAME from the node, or
KSPROPERTY_PIN_NAME from the upstream pin factory.

Subject: [wdmaudiodev] Device specific control naming/units?

Greetings,

1. The sound applet is displaying the correct custom tab and device specific
sliders with the correct ranges. However the associated value static control is
displaying said values in hex. What dictates the formatting and can a unit be
added (ms/db/etc.)

2. The docs/examples seem a little unclear on how to actually name the custom
control. Anyone know how or got an example on how to change it from 'device
specific' ?

Thanks.

Jerry.
