[wdmaudiodev] How to make "Microphone" not appear as device name in Vista

Hi,

We have a driver that works perfectly under 2k, XP. Our card exposes
two devices and they appear properly in GraphEdit under "Audio Capture
Devices" category. But in Vista they both have the name of
"Microphone" and only a single device appears in that category. But,
if I change the names of the devcies in the control panel to something
line "A1" for the first and "A2" for the second, then both devices
appear in GraphEdit. So, this is the reason I am asking about all
this.

So, to resolve this:

We need to change the name of the audio device in the edit box for the
record device that is created when we install our driver in Vista. It
currently says "Microphone" but we need to change it so that instead
of "Microphone" it says something like "Device A1" and "Device A2".
(We have two devices on our card.)

We can change the names manually by typing them in…but we need to do
it automatically for the user.

Or, is there a "non-Microphone" type that we should be using…some kind
of custom type? Or is there a place in the descriptors where we can
put this name in the driver?

Thank you
