If you have a Windows 10 machine handy, you can provide feedback via the
“Windows Feedback” or “Feedback Hub” app – add it to “Hardware, Devices, and
Drivers | Audio and sound”.
You can use the “copy link” feature to get a windows-feedback:?... or
feedback-hub:?... link that you could share here, and people who agree with the
suggestion can upvote it.
Note that the 384 kHz limitation does not apply to exclusive mode. I don’t know
if there are any specific software limitations on exclusive mode, or if the
only limitations are those imposed by the audio driver; you could experiment
with SysVad’s data ranges and find out.

You certainly did. The engine is limited to 384kHz.
1. On Mac they do support 768khz SR out of the box
2. IMHO on WASAPI exclusive, there should be not any limitation given..
There will always be a limitation. Microsoft makes these decisions based on
use cases and need, and there simply hasn't been enough demand to justify
investing engineering effort in implementing and -- more important --
validating support for higher sample rates. If this is blocking sales of
Windows, then you should have your management talk to Microsoft's management
and present a business case. That's how these things get done.
