Windows prefers stereo to mono for line ins, and mono to stereo for (non-array) microphones. More explicitly: For bridge pins that expose a KS node type of "KSNODETYPE_LINE_CONNECTOR", Windows 7 will try various stereo and mono formats, preferring stereo if both are supported. For bridge pins that expose a KS node type of "KSNODETYPE_MICROPHONE_ARRAY", Windows 7 will use only the "preferred format" exposed by the device and will not probe at all. For other capture bridge pins, Windows 7 will try various stereo and mono formats, preferring mono if both are supported. -----Original Message----- From: wdmaudiodev-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:wdmaudiodev-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Robert Bielik Sent: Monday, April 11, 2011 5:30 AM To: wdmaudiodev@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [wdmaudiodev] Re: MSVAD default format within KSDATARANGE_AUDIO Anton Shpakovsky skrev 2011-04-11 13:03: > > Is there a solution?
