[wdmaudiodev] True multi-channel app support

I'm working on a WDM audio driver for a device that supports 24 mono
channels. The device always gets (requires) full buffers for all
channels (it takes 8bit Alaw or uLaw data) on playback and record. The
format of the data matches exactly with how MS documents doing
multi-channel audio. I added support following the pcmex example, but
I'm wondering if there are any apps that really support this properly. I
tried Sonar, and it recognizes my multiple channels - but only as
multiple stereo channels (it lists them as 1/2, 3/4, 5/6, etc.). Is
there any app out there that will properly support a device like this?

Is the best route for application support to just expose a miniport
device for each channel? If so, how do you get around the 10 device
limit in Win2K?

Thanks,
-Chris
