There is frequent confusion between the "USB 1.0, USB 2.0, USB 3.0" standards
which apply to USB *busses* and the "USB Audio 1.0, USB Audio 2.0" standards
which apply to USB *audio devices*.
I believe Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 Technical Preview are the same here. They
both have inbox support for the USB 1.0, USB 2.0, and USB 3.0 busses. They also
have inbox support for USB Audio 1.0 devices, but require a custom driver for
USB Audio 2.0 devices.
