To assist a discussion on a pro audio group, can anyone tell me which,
if any, companies are developing generic firewire audio I/O devices?
I know RME (and possibly Echo) use their own firewire adapters, and I
know about mLAN and AMbus.
But I dont know of an audio I/O device that I can plug straight into any
firewire adapter.....is this a driver issue (ie manufacturers prefer to
build their own adapters), or is it just a matter of time??

Thanks,

Sean
