Hi, & sorry if this is off-topic for this group, but I can't seem to find any clear explanations anywhere! 1. In order to use a WDM driver from an application, what exactly is required? That is, how does one know that e.g. by using DirectX, that the WDM driver is being used and not some other one (e.g. using API calls like DirectSoundCreate(), CreateCaptureBuffer(), etc.). Or is there some other API to directly talk to it? 2. Is there any documentation on using (again from an application) WDM Kernel Streaming mode? I've seen references and allusions, but nothing concrete.
