Can you be more specific about the reasons for this? No manager would
insist that you write a driver for a device that does not require one.
He would be fired for wasting company money on its development, and for
creating a product that is of worse quality than the competition.
USBAUDIO.SYS is 8 years old. It has been through numerous revisions and
bug fixes. It is well-tested, robust, and reliable. You could not
possibly hope to write a better replacement on your own.
