The wording is far from a show stopper.

The timer recording crash happens when I do the following:

Select the following day.

Tab to start time.

arrow down past 0 o'clock.

Not a terribly clever thing to do, but that is the sequence.

Hi Andrew,
thanks for doing some testing. Reporting issues here is fine, though you can also report them to the Audacity forum if you want to:
http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewforum.php?f=50

Concerning the crash, could you just clarify what you're doing in the timer record dialog? I'm assuming that all you are doing after the dialog opens is:
1. You press down arrow to set the number of hours to zero.
2. You press right arrow once to move to minutes, and audacity crashes.

I'll get back to you about the menu wording, but it may not be possible to change it at this stage in the release cycle - it depends on whether there are other wording changes that are requested,

David.

    Hi David

    Thanks for the link.  Do I report issues here or can you give me
    the appropriate address? I will mention them here anyway to see if
    other can reproduce the bug I have found.

    My first issue reflects my pedantry.  There are quite a few menu
    items where the text is:

    On/off

    or

    On/off checked.

    For example:

    Overdub (on/off) checked.

    I suggest simply:

    Overdub on with or without the check.

    The next one is a minor crash when setting timer recording.  I
    have checked on two machines, both running Windows 10 Creators and
    both with NVDA 2017.3.  The problem only occurs on one machine! If
    I arrow down past 0 hours I get the following error message:

    ..\..\src\msw\datetimectrl.cpp(95): assert "Assert failure" failed in
    wxDateTimePickerCtrl::SetValue(): Setting the calendar date
    unexpectedly failed.
    Call stack:

    [18] wxEvtHandler::SafelyProcessEvent
    [19] wxWindow::MSWHandleMessage
    [20] wxWindow::MSWWindowProc
    Do you want to stop the program?
    You can also choose [Cancel] to suppress further warnings.

    Yes No Cancel
