This is a post just to highlight some of the improvements in Audacity 2.3.0
which specifically affect NVDA users. (These are not issues which have
affected Jaws users.)
1. NVDA now reads the names of group boxes. These are labeled rectangular
frames which surround a set of related controls, and are often used in
dialog boxes. For example, in the Playback category of the Preferences
dialog, there are four group boxes: Effects preview, cut preview, Seek time
while playing, and options. Being able to read these group boxes, makes it
much easier to understand the purpose of the controls.
2. NVDA can now read the title bars of dialog boxes, using the standard
keystroke NVDA key + T.
3. In the time controls in the Selection bar, if you increment or decrement
one of the digits using up or down arrow respectively, then nvda reads the
new value of the current section of the time only once, rather than twice.
