Steven, I suspect not. In summary, the left bracket ([) sets the beginning
of the highlight and the right bracket (]) the end. But getting the begin
and end points just where you want them requires a bit more knowledge. The
audio tutorial I mentioned in the previous post at
https://www.sendspace.com/pro/dl/v56cn4 covers selecting and deleting
material.
I just checked it to confirm that. I realised that when I was adjusting
time by milliseconds I did not say that I was using up and down arrows
(slaps wrist).

delete put your place markers then push stop then push right bracket to
announce where it is and if not at right position push the down arrow then
