It would be a great feature. This feature could also be called
"insert file". You'd need to suggest it to the development team.
I don't know if anyone on this list can help.

pasting files into a project the way you can paste attachments

emails in many email programs. I have often thought of this when
creating a project that included various sound files that already
existed on my hard drive. Pasting would be so much faster and
