Sounds like you accidentally turned on the "display all non printing
characters" option. If that's the case you can toggle it back off with:
Ctrl+Shift+8 (do not use the numeric keypad).

While I was fixing my borders issue, I hit a wrong key combo, and now my JAWS
says stuff like space marker between every word, and paragraph marker at the
beginning of every new paragraph.
I'm not even sure what that's called or I would Google how to fix it. And I'm
not sure what key combo I hit, so I can't hit it again to see if it toggles.
Thanks for any advice on this.
