If bookshare wants us all to get the word, they should send the anouncements to everyone who has an email address with bookshare. This shouldn't be something we have to sign up for.

Bookshare Volunteers,

Today we launched a new list for announcements only.

Creatively entitled "bks_announce" it will consist of, yes you guessed it, announcements.

Postings will be irregular appearing as newsworthy items arise.

It will not attempt to be a newsletter. Rather we will use it to get short insights into life at Bookshare out to you quickly without distracting this list from its core task of technical assistance between volunteers.
