I just subscribed. I hope this is a low traffic list. I get the feeling that I am often drowning in email as it is. At least with an announce only list I suppose that I can count on no socializing and idle chit-chat.

However not everyone will be as excited about this new resource as you are.Thus the first message from the announce-only list actually encourages people to right away if they find it is not helpful.

If bookshare wants us all to get the word, they should send the anouncements to everyone who has an email address with bookshare. This shouldn't be something we have to sign up for.
