I agree.
Moreover, I rather have the flow of a book interrupted by the page info
than it not being there. Also, knowing where you left off -- such as a
page number -- is an easy bookmark to remember if one is using a reader
which doesn't permit bookmarking.
INternet Explorer comes to mind as such a reader which doesn't have a
bookmark feature.
