Hi, Patti. No, the title page absolutely must be there, or at the very least,
somewhere in the file, the copyright information, title and author must occur
in the file itself. We need some way of verifying what the copyright info is,
and if it's not in the file, and neither is the title, author, ISBN or anything
like that, it makes verification next to impossible. I'm sorry this is such a
discouraging task for you. I wish we could all help somehow, because I do love
submitting books, and once you learn the ropes and follow the Bookshare
guidelines for submission, it really isn't that difficult and is quite fun, I
think. If there's anything specific you need help with, please don't hesitate
to ask. I'm sure someone here can help. Take care.

Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Books on the List

I saw that my Tammy Tell me True book s out for validation. Most of my books
have been rejected. One because it didn't have a title page but I was able to
get the info and typed it in on the upload info page. Seems if they had it
that way they should have taken the book, just my opinion. And one book that
did get accepted had Marissa's name on it as submitter, I had sent her the file
to see what could be done with it because I couldn't get it to upload myself.
Will I still get the credit for the book, I wonder. Just some thoughts.
I hesitate to try again because I don't have thapatience the rest of you
have, and for me if it's readable that should mean it is readable, period. So
maybe one more try and if it doesnt work out than I quit. After all, as far as
I am concerned, if it can be read it is better than not having the book to read
at all, and I thought the purpose of bookshare was to have books that one can't
find anywhere else. My book that was submitted was fair, but the others were
rejected and they were either just that quality or even a bit better in my
opinion, and still weren't taken. Seems like if we are asking too much for
perfection then it is kind of defeating the purpose of what we are about. Now
if it was totally unreadable yes it shouldn't be a ccepted and if I thought
mine was absolutely unreadable, I wouldn't have submitted it in the first
place. Sorry, I'll go hide under my desk now.
