Hi, Patti! You may want to do a bit of pre-validating before you submit...
that is, if you have the patience! <Smile> Maybe someone could give you the
commands for searching for junk characters in OpenBook. Getting rid of
those can help a lot. I've heard that the spell checker in OpenBook isn't
all that great, but you could do a spell-check in Word or even in HJPad, and
it would probably help. If you don't have a way to do anything about
headers, or if you just don't want to mess with them, you can leave a note
to that effect in the Comments field of the submission form, so that the
validator will know. These are just suggestions, not requirements at all,
so please don't feel obligated. If you'd rather not bother with any
pre-validation, just leave a note concerning what you did with the file
before submitting it, and someone who enjoys the challenge of validating can
download and fix. Validating is definitely not for the faint of heart!

  Thanks, Kellie, for your message.
Now it seemed to me that as I scananed AndLadies of the Club and what
I was hearing, that it was turning out okay. I don't know.
I suppose it is a lack of patience on my part, and I know some one, Jake I
think it was, gave me pointers on settings on Open Book, but perhaps too it
is my scanner, and maybe when I get a new scanner the scans may turn out
better.
