I believe it was Dwayne brought up this point and I have to concur quite
strongly with it.

He said, that Bookshare has two purposes, both a long term purpose, and a
short term purpose.

I hole hardly agree with the short term purpose, of a book club, and used
book depository of sorts, and I am striving for the long term of book
preservation.

A lot of the books I have scanned and submitted are no longer in print, and
there for lost forever, except for the copies exist in libraries. I want to
preserve these treasures, find them, and enjoy them.

I wasn't alive when Baynard wrote his books, or when the MASH series came
out, but now that people are bringing them up or I see a reference about
them, in a book listing somewhere I will be looking for them to read as I am
curious and in the process submit, smile.

Dwayne indeed there are two purposes to Bookshare and I hope they are around
for a long time.

If a friend is in trouble, don't annoy him by asking if there is
anything you can do. Think up something appropriate and do it.
