It's a posessive which ends in an s. It's also an abbreviation ending in a period. The apostrophe comes after the period. It could have been written Brothers's, or Bros.'s, but that trailing s is more and more being left off. I have checked against the print copy and "say" and "Bros.'" are both what's on the page. You will find other oddities. <grin> ----- Original Message ----- From: gail johnson To: mama-gail@xxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Friday, December 26, 2008 2:00 AM Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: Duke: the life and image of John Wayne page 173 Is the ' (apostrophe) correct? my Production Department say that you want that other camera," he wrote Steve Trilling, Warner Bros.'
