On the “GetHuman” website, which provides tips to help you bypass the endless
recorded messages and their dead ends at various companies, they give the best
Amazon customer service number as 866-216-1072.
They say “When calling Amazon, don’t press or say anything OR press 0.”
(Often, with other companies, pressing 0 immediately is the best bet;
apparently not in this case.)
