I said that I would report back here if I found my documents. I found
them. I found out that if I type the name of the document in the edit
field of that poor excuse of a start menu the document comes up as one
of many search results and if I press enter over it it will open. I
wonder if there is some way to keep web results from showing up. If I
want to search the web I would go to my browser and search from there. I
would like to be able to browse the documents folder because I don't
always remember the exact name, but they are still all apparently there
including that book I had not finished scanning. I might try
reinstalling Open Book tomorrow and putting it in the documents folder
if I can find that from the install.
