Donna,

Amen and bless you. When I have rescanned a book I down-loaded and re-submitted, I have, on a few occasions, received email from the original scanners furious that I would have complained about the quality of their scan.  It is nice to know that some of you appreciate the validators and, I assume, those who felt they needed to  rescan.

Just as readers don't always pronounce names properly or even words in abnormal usage. I cannot wait to get a microphone so I can teach my reader that G in Tolkien is always hard as in get and never soft, at least in The Silmarillion. And I look forward to his corrected pronunciation of the Harry Potter books.  To many readers it might not be a problem but for me mispronunciation drives me crazy - if I recognize it.  None of this can be dealt with by scanners or validators but only by the readers, us, of those who are bothered  by it. Many are not and more power tothem.

Aga in, my thanks.

Amy
