MessageSometimes, in Seattle, the Friends of the Library collects used books and has a once-a-year sale to raise money for the library. You can find some amazing deals and amazing books at sales like that, or try thrift stores. Also half-priced Books is another source. For audiobooks, on cassette, CD, and MP3 CD's: Ashgroveaudiobook.com is great. You can trade in audiobooks in those media, get points for them based on the original retail price of the audiobook, and then pay a service fee for your next selection(s) which is $15.99 or less. I have gotten books valued originally at over $100 for $15.99 because I had the points built up from trading in previous audiobooks. They have some books each week on their "weekly specials" list that sell for half their usual price, sowith the points, I am buying them at $3 or $4. It's fun, and I get some of the Teaching Company audio courses that way too. I would also appreciate it if the group would share some of their used book sources with me. We have several books at home that I want to scan before I go into adjusting our budget to all for buying books; plus I think we should have a pretty good county library. Thanks to all for their help and responses. Nancy
