Cindy: I'm a little confused about this note. U also use a mac & if I ever wrote a book on what I know about the macintosh, it'd hold the record for the world's shortest book, as all its pages would be blank. The steps differ somewhat in terms of whether you're dealing w/customizing a menu bar or a tool bar. The menu bar is atop the screen, just below the title bar that says microsoft word & if a file is open, the file name. The tool bar is just under the menu bar & represents various "quick buttons", as it were. So, what are u trying to customize--the menu bar or the tool bar? W/that knowledge, we should be able to restore your symbols command. Let me know, ok? On 10/4/08, Cindy <popularplace@xxxxxxxxx> wrote: > I somehow deleted Symbols from the Insert file.
