I edit using a much older braillenote and using the rtf files I download from bookshare.
Definitely sounds like something amiss with the braillenote. Have you tried the hard reset?Are you using the flash driver or a cf card? The card is infinitely preferable. The flash drive has a nasty habit of eating files compared with the card.
