Hi Netta et al,

Welcome to Bookshare. If you find words that are split between pages like that, eliminate the dash and either move the bottom half up or the top half down, whichever seems to work best. when books were printed years ago, the splitting of words from one line to the next was a common practice. Now that most publishers are using computers, it rarely happens because the computer doesn't split words. So, hope that answer suffices. If it's unclearr, just drop me a line and ask me to clarify.
