<smiling> I, too, press the spacebar on open, Ann. I go to browse, do a shift+tab, and that puts me on my list of files. Then I press the first letter of the filename, once or more than once depending on what all is under that letter. Then I go to open and press the spacebar, then press enter on continue. Hi all, Um, there be a good reason huccum this ol' AT Trainer said to use the 'open' button instead of just hitting the 'enter' key. <smiling> That reason be that one should not press the 'enter' key in a dialog until or unless you are absolutely sure that you know what button is going to be invoked when you do this. In a dialogs, if you hit the 'enter' key, you invoke the default button which may or may not be the one you want. That's why it's usually a good idea to hit the spacebar on buttons. <sneaky grin> Doing it my way also allows a user to view the entire dialog and know and understand what options are available. It's the way I'm made, I guess. I can't help teaching. It just happens. Kim, forgot to ask you. What's the filename? Does it have an apostrophe or comma in it? If it does, remove it. Also, suggest putting underscores between the words instead of spaces. Dunnow if that'll help, but---. Ann P. -- Ann K.
