Dan:

This probably has 2 do w/jaws not recognizing the highlight color of
the misspelled word.  Simply put your jaws cursor on a misspelled word
(create a document w/1 misspelled word 2 make it easy) then press ctrl
insert h, & enter on all 3 prompts.  C if that doesn't help u.
