Hi Barbara,
My guess is that your problem isn't with your scanner, but
with your OCR, opticle character recognition. There are some really
fancy types of print that don't recognize well, no matter what I do,
but generally, inaccurate recognition can be fixed, in my experience,
by adjusting your scanning or recognition settings. I don't want to
go into ten tons of detail that you don't want. If you want to know
more about this kind of thing, I'm sure many of us can help you
out. I just wanted you to know that it probably isn't a problem with
your scanner. I have a really really cheap scanner, and get really
good scans, so would guess that your scanner isn't the problem.

but I didn't need one so I didn't pay attention to the information
in the e-mails. I would appreciate it if we can open the discussion
about scanners, again. I want to get an excellent scanner so that I
don't have to correct tons of scanning errors. I am sure that you
all understand.
