Learning disabilities are not normally considered psychiatric disorders and are
treated by a totally different group and type of medication. Einstein's
difficulty with mathematics may well have been a learning disability but was
not a psychiatric disorder. Please don't bunc the groups together; I am sure
neither would appreciate it. People with learning disabilities have grown up
with being called dumb or stupid or lazy as well as undisciplined, retarded,
and uncontrollable. The people with psychiatric diagnoses are called crazy,
nut cases, schizos, and so on. They do not like it nor do they appreciate being
treated as outcasts, beyond the pale. Rather than deal with the situation and
treat the mentally il we give them enough medication to controll their
illnesses and send them out to the world with no help of treatment unless they
have the funds to pay for treatment. And for the poor who have no families or
none with the resources to take care of them, they are left to fend for
themselves until they finally are forced to commit a crime and be sent to jail.
Learning Disabilities can be overcome. Psychiatric illness usualy take a
lifetime of treatment and medication.

PS. Nelson Rockefeller was a dislexic.
