Hi Jim and all,
Yes, your proposed changes would make me very happy if they can be implemented.
I think they would go a long way in offering choice to readers and making
Bookshare more attractive. So much can be done with this technology now that
it's a shame to have books scanned but unusable for some purposes because of
lack of critical formatting info.
Btw, I would be really grateful if you could tell me definitively whether
Bookshare keeps a validated but not yet stripped copy of the books in its
system somewhere. I've heard yes and no.
Thanks for letting the volunteer community know about the exciting future
Bookshare developments. Our crankiness just goes to show how much progress has
occurred in the last few years, and how standards have risen as a result.
