Hi, Amy. I do the same thing. Almost every book I scan I've read completely through before I send up. I didn't always do that in the beginning with my first scans but I do now. Take care. -- Julie Morales Email & Windows/MSN Messenger: mercy421@xxxxxxxxxxx AIM mercylab421 http://juliemorales.avonrepresentative.com/ Currently in Winchester Regional, Virginia Partly Cloudy, 80°F Wind:Calm Honk if you love peace and quiet. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Amy Goldring Tajalli" <agoldringtajalli@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, August 15, 2007 9:00 AM Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Permission to scan?? I have a stack of books in my "to be scanned" department none of which are in the collection and all of which have been previously listed in this volunteer discussion freelist. Since we don't have a wish list anymore how do I ensure that they are not already in process of being scanned by someone else? The in process list does not include books that have not been submitted yet. As I don't like submitted badly scanned books I "validate" the books as I go along so that the copy I submit I usually classify as "excellent". Is there a way to ensure that someone else is not also working on the same books?
